And here is our Mr. Evan, who crawled as far away from me as he could. He started to go down the hall towards the stairs, so I distracted him with the phone, one of his favorite toys. Don't know how long that will work though, so we'll have to get a gate soon!
And here he is standing up. He's gotten quite good at it lately. He can't stand on his own yet, he doesn't quite have the balance yet, but he is REALLY good at pulling himself up on things and holding on with one or both hands. A little too good sometimes, as he is just barely learning how to get back down (i.e. falling onto his bum without falling backwards). It sure is fun to watch him learn so many new things.
As I've mentioned before, I've temporarily resorted to "barricading" the entrance to the kitchen. This morning I was in the living room and Evan decided he wanted to crawl into the kitchen by himself. Since I haven't put everything away since last night this might not be such a good idea, so I barricaded the whole doorway into the dining room/kitchen. Evan was not so happy about this at first, and tried very hard to move the box out of his way. But, when he discovered that he could not, he decided to play with it instead. BTW...Nikki, he loves the Noah's Ark you guys got him. The monkey is his favorite!

He is SOOO cute! and obviously VERY smart. I miss you guys! Yes, we are going to try to come there after Easter. You can come for Easter if you want!
He is so cute! I am so excited to see you guys in July. He is going to be so big by then!!
