Shampooing the Carpet

So yesterday and today I have been shampooing our carpets, which has been super fun with Evan.... Yesterday was actually ok. I put him in his highchair and fed him snacks while I did the dining room, then put him in his swing with some juice while I did our bedroom. Then I did half the living room after he went to bed last night. So this morning I wanted to go ahead and get the other half of it done so it would dry before Adam gets home tonight. Instead of putting Evan in something (he was a little cranky), I just put him on the floor with some toys on the clean part and put some stuff in his way so he couldn't get over to the side I was cleaning. So I thought. He figured out how to crawl around the box and under the table to get to where I was...

He paused for a second when he realized the floor was wet, but that did not stop him for long. Oh...and no, he wasn't very happy about it...

Well, he made it to where I was, and he kept reaching out to touch the shampooer, but then he would cry when he touched it, and he would cry every time I came near him with it. Eventually he got around it and tried to climb up the leg of my jeans. I had a picture of that, but it didn't show up on my camera for some reason.... Anyway, I ended up picking him up and we finished the carpet together. Then we went upstairs and changed him out of his now soggy diaper and wet onesie and put him down for a nap. Maybe I should have thought of the nap first......
