Block Time

Oh my goodness...I have the cutest, smartest kid ever. :-) He is so funny! So he has started throwing his hands up in the air when he does something he thinks is great, like he's saying "ta-da" or "yay!" This morning he has been so cute. We were playing with his blocks (or rather, he was playing), the kind that have the lid with the different shapes and you have to get the square in the square, etc. Well, we dumped the blocks out and he proceeded to put the blocks back in through the holes in the lid. It's a hand-me-down set of blocks, and there are some other types of blocks mixed in, so most of them are square. So when he got to a different shaped block, I told him what that shape was called and showed him the hole it went in, and he would proceed to put the block in that hole. Then after every other block he's throw his hands up and look at me excitedly, waiting for me to say "yay!" Hehe. Well, when he got to the last block, a triangle, he couldn't get it angled quite right, so he decided it would be easier to just take off the lid, throw the block in the container and put the lid back on! Hehe...too smart!
