Today was Evan's first day in Nursery! You might be surprised to hear that he went to nursery already and he's only 15 months old, but as you all know, he's very advanced and mature for his age so we decided to let him try it out. (Plus...I have connections in the Primary Presidency.)
Evan LOVED being in the nursery! He had no problems whatsoever. The only time he cried for Daddy was when he fell out of his chair. Other than that, he wouldn't have even known I was there. He sat and played extremely well with the other kids. He got to play with playdough for the first time ever, and he only tried to eat it once! (That's pretty good considering the large number of blue mouths that I saw.)
He looked sooo cute when he was sitting at the table with all the other kids. He looked like a little grown-up. It brought a tear to Mommy's eye!
He was a great helper! He did a great job of putting away his toys, and cleaning up the playdough. He loved interacting with the other kids. I don't think he'd ever seen so many toys!
He especially liked snack time. (So did the adults!) That was the only time during the 2 hours that you could hear a pin drop. He got a little confused about which drink was his (you'll notice him drinking out of different colored cups), but he was willing to share his snacks with the other kids.
**Green...His...
The highlight of the day was at the end when the nursery leader got a great big fan and a big bottle of bubbles and well...you can figure the rest out. He ran around the whole room going "Bub-bles, bub-bles!!!", trying to catch all of the bubbles. I was impressed with the quality of the bubbles. They didn't even pop when they hit the ground!

Apparently, some of the kids hadn't learned the difference between bubbles and snowflakes...

The nursery leader was very impressed with him. She said he had a great first day and she hoped he would be back next week. I had a pretty good time too! I'm sure I will probably be back next week as well!
