Family Update

I have decided to make this post more of a family update than just pics of Evan! :-) As you can probably tell from my new backgroud, I am so ready for fall! It's September, and I'm ready for cooler weather! Of course, I was so blessed to be born and raised in South Carolina, so September does not necessarily mean cooler weather. Actually, October doesn't even always mean cooler weather! Ok...hopefully by October it will be cooler! Anyway, I just want to be able to take Evan outside for more than 20 minutes at a time and not be sweating to death as soon as we step out. Good old south! We're going on family vacation next week to Orlando, and I'm sure I'll come home and be amazed at how much cooler it is here than there, but in the meantime, I'll just grumble about how hot and humid it is. To be perfectly honest, today it's only gotten up to about 76 degrees, but I think there's probably 200% humidity. Seriously.

We took Evan in for a check-up on his arm today and his collar bone is ALMOST healed. He has to wear his brace while we're on vacation and then we'll have another check-up. He's doing wonderfully with it! He hardly "complains" about it anymore, but it is still sensitive if you touch that area of his shoulder. Here's what he had to say about the situation:

Other than all of that, we're doing really great. Adam is working as hard as ever. He is such a good Daddy, and Evan has so much fun with him! They play together quite often, and Adam takes him out on little outings sometimes, just the two of them. So fun! We're super excited for our vacation. We are going with Adam's Mom and brother and sister-in-law. We all really need a break, so we're really looking forward to some relaxation! I will post pics as soon as we get back!
